You have brought up very good points.

I know one of the things I struggle with is this notion of "me time". It is thought of as a right, especially for us sahms. But like you said, when we think we have a right, and we don't get it, it leads to discontentment.

It doesn't help that this thinking is so pervasive, even in Christian circles, and there's always people who will throw you the pity party and say - Oh! You NEED a break! You have SO many children, and they're ALWAYS with you. You POOR THING! You need some time away from the children!

I am not saying that us mums don't deserve a break. I'm just saying that if I "expect" it as a right, then I will be grumpy if I don't get that break.

Teri Maxwell of Titus2.com has a mom's corner on this "Me Time" - where she explains it a lot clearer. It has helped me tremendously. I still have a long ways to go in terms of contentment, by God's grace I'll prayerfully reach a point where it'll be a lot easier not to get sucked up in a pity party :)

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I'm expecting a twin and into my 33wks. I have been praying for a supernatural delivery cos i do not wish to go for c-section as most delivery of twins do. I was diagnosed with positive GBS at 32weeks and initially was quite upset but nevertheless just have to trust God & believe His protection on the babies. For God timing is always perfect. Amen!
