My name is Serene and I am married to Henson. We are a Chinese Singaporean, Christian, homeschooling family of 8. Henson is in fulltime ministry, working hand-in-hand with Covenant Vision Centre. I have been a SAHM since my 1st born was 8months old. I had worked part-time after he was born before realising that juggling 2 jobs and concentrating on none was not ideal at all. Prior to that, I had worked in journalism, public relations and advertising.
Our children are aged 10 (boy), 8 (girl), 6.5 (boy), 5 (girl), 3 (girl) and 1 (girl) and one more on the way, as of October 2008.
We have been homeschooling formally since September 2004. Since July 2006, we have been using Student of the Word or SOW, a bible-based curriculum. We are also the SOW distributor in Singapore.
